Low Moor & Oakenshaw Conservation Group had it’s workday on Saturday and we tackled the eroded steps that lead to Toad Holes Beck.
This area had become slippy so with knowledgeable Micheal Wiggins on hand we set about making new gradual steps.
Luckily once the timber steps were put in place we could level the area with soil from the adjacent banking which more than pleased a local Robin which was busy exploiting the area.
It was hard work but rewarding as the area will be more safer and should last a good number of years.
In addition other members did an excellent job trimmed back the vegetation further up the pathway which was overgrown.
