Today our group had a work day at Raw Nook nr. The main challenge at the site is to carry on removing the Silver Birch saplings that have encroached into the heather. The day began at 10 am with 12 members armed with matlocks and plenty of spirit…An estimated count of around 200 saplings and tree stumps were removed.
The fruits of all our had work is now starting to show with a very large area cleared of Silver birches revealing large sways of heather.
